Autism Interdisciplinary Research Institute (AIRI)

Vision

The Autism Interdisciplinary Research Institute (AIRI) is an interdisciplinary focused collaborative research institute committed to increasing public awareness and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), as well as discovering more efficient and effective means of interdisciplinary collaboration in the designing and carrying out of treatment programs for individuals with ASD.

AIRI was founded by David J. Cox in 2011 with the vision of bringing experts and clinicians from the disciplines of speech-and-language pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, education, and behavior analysis together to work toward a primary common goal of understanding and treating autism spectrum disorders within a collaborative treatment program that can be easily executed by all relevant stakeholders in the life of an individual diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. While AIRI is in its infancy and there is a lot of work to be done, we are excited for what the future holds and the achievements that will take place.
