The next step on the road to independence!


Building on the foundational skills essential to small group learning, this preparatory program develops the life skills essential to successfully transition into integrated learning environments throughout the community.
 

The curriculum focuses on the development of skill sets to promote:

  • Effective communication with social partners
  • Ability to understand and participate in collaborative group activities
  • Independence in task completion within a group setting
  • Compliance with written and verbal rules and directions

 

The Details

Early Childhood, small group setting of up to 6 children Individuals are accepted into small group programming based on the demonstration of specific skills needed for learning in a small
group environment. These readiness skills are assessed by CPI staff through a combination of clinical observation and standardized testing.
 

Days: Monday through Thursday

  • Morning Session: 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Mid-Day Session: 11:30 - 2:30 p.m.
  • Afternoon Session: 2:30 - 5:30 p.m.
     

Fall Session: September 6, 2011 - December 23, 2011
 

Spring Session: January 2, 2010 - May 31, 2012
 

Summer Session: June 4, 2012 - August 31, 2012
