Projects That Need Your Support

Colorado Department of Education Facility School

CPI’s Facility School was established to provide families and teachers with a placement option that holds inclusion as a priority and goal for students. At the initial point of a student’s transition to CPI, the staff works with the school district to develop a transition plan and moves forward with services based upon this plan.

General program components include standardized assessment, daily quantitative data collection, weekly staff meetings and program review, oversight, supervision, and supplemental services (as indicated by a student’s IEP) from the Interdisciplinary Clinical Team as follows:

l Speech Language Pathologist              l Licensed Clinical Psychologist

l  Occupational Therapist                          l Board Certified Behavior Analyst

The Facility School provides a structured academic and behavioral setting in which to stabilize maladaptive behaviors and strengthen fundamental adaptive behaviors. The CPI Team collaborates with the student’s school in an effort to prepare for a successful transition into the classroom. Collaboration efforts between teams include:

l Observation & visitation between programs, as needed

l Exchange of data, documentation, and strategies

l Provision of training and support as needed to classroom staff
