PROCESS: Diagnostic and assessment services vary depending on the individual’s age but typically include standardized measures of diagnostic indicators, cognitive and developmental functioning, social-emotional functioning, adaptive and maladaptive behavior, speech/language and communication, and sensory-motor processing and modulation. Clinical and diagnostic interviews are completed with the individual, caregivers, and any other relevant stakeholders in the individual’s life. In addition, caregivers, service providers, and/or teachers are asked to complete standardized rating scales and/or questionnaires. Direct observations of the individual are conducted in the home, school, community, and/or any other setting relevant to the assessment. A comprehensive review of medical and educational records is also completed.

Once an assessment is completed, a Feedback Session is scheduled in order to review evaluation results, discuss diagnostic information, and provide individualized and specific recommendations for treatment planning. A comprehensive report is prepared and given to families. Reports include background information, observations, test descriptions and results, diagnostic information, and specific programming and intervention recommendations.
